To meet the current business challenges, we have opportunities for proficient, efficient and highly motivated individuals to fill the following position in Batam:

Kanban Engineer
Riau - Batam

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and improve Kanban and Materials Production Handling projects.
  • Apply appropriate lean logistic concepts and systems to improve the materials movement and JIT optimization while conforming to our internal Schneider Production System requirements.
  • Plan, analyze and design warehouse architecture/ configuration and flow of supplies/ materials that optimize and fulfill production on-time delivery KPIs.
  • Plan, design and conduct 5S audit programs.
  • Prepare and present monthly project and cost/budget utilization reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experiences in deploying and training Lean logistic tools and programs, preferably in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Certified in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Proven ability to design effective and optimized warehouse materials flow and inventory storage configurations.
  • Proven experiences to see through 5S audits, action items and closures.
  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, follow-up on and close cases.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, passion for people and good team player.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive outcomes.
  • Customer service and quality oriented.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Must be willing to be based in Batam.
