PT Royal Lestari Utama (RLU), through its subsidiaries which engage in the integrated natural rubber sector, strives to become a pioneer and leader in sustainable natural rubber development in an area of around 88,000 hectares which located in Jambi and East Kalimantan.
The Company remains committed to maintain the growth of its subsidiaries’ businesses in developing and producing natural rubber, which is supported by a sizeable land bank, while respecting and managing High Conservation Value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas.

Our Milestones
First planting of PT Lestari Asri Jaya, one of subsidiaries, Jambi.
First Planting of PT Multi Kusuma Cemerlang, one of subsidiaries, East Kalimantan.
The Barito Pacific Group and Michelin Group signed a Joint Venture Agreement to develop PT Royal Lestari Utama (RLU) with Vision to become pioneer in sustainable natural rubber development and production in the world.
Development of PT Multi Kusuma Cemerlang, one of subsidiaries, first rubber remiling facility with total capacity of 140 tons/day in East Kalimantan.
PT Multi Kusuma Cemerlang, the rubber remiling facility, start operation.
RLU receives a landmark $95 million Sustainability Bond, the first in Asia, from the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (TLFF).
RLU began the integrated HCV/HCS assessment, an update to the first assessment conducted in 2015.
Two Forest Farmers Groups received Decree from Minister of Environment and Forestry on Forestry Partnership. RLU is the first HTI Company in Jambi Province that received such a decree.
The High Conservation Value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) Assessment Report of PT Multi Kusuma Cemerlang, a subsidiary of RLU, obtained satisfactory results from the HCV Network. RLU also established a Women Protection Program and launched Kanita (Kawan Wanita) RLU.
In July 2022, the Michelin Group fully acquired RLU and all its subsidiaries. RLU also received satisfactory results of Integrated HCV HCS Assessment, through its subsidiaries PT Lestari Asri Jaya (LAJ) and PT Wanamukti Wisesa (WW).
